Gloucester and District Autograss Club History

1970 Gloucester & District presentation:
Fred Aldridge, Bill Allsopp, Mike Fishpool, Bob Clifford, Norman Hupton. On the end of the middle row is future Touring Car mega star Andy Rouse who raced a special in the Gloucester club

1968 Ross on Wye:
Bob Clifford driving G101D which he shared with his mate Fred Aldridge who was the father of Stroud racer Nick Aldridge S5D and grandfather of current Junior frontrunner Scott Aldridge S27D.
The car had an E93A sidevalve engine in the unmodified class but would still reach 60mph in second gear.

Forest of Dean - Staunton Court

 August 1968:
Bob Clifford driving Bill Allsopp's supercharged Dello Ford. The car finished 3rd in class that day but in the opens it was involved in an accident and broke into 2 pieces! However it was rebuilt and was racing the following week.
The car was also driven by Barry Brooks and had a modified Ford 105E engine.

1965.

Bob Clifford and Eddy Brock's first car. In the car is Bob and son Garry with Barb and Ray Brock.

Gloucester racer Keith Woodward G21D ends up in the fence in his very quick and well built class 6 in the late 1980's, He still looks pretty much the same to this day!

Gloucester Imp racer Art Williams battles with Andy Williams Escort.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Phil Kent in his old faithful Class4 Imp which must be the longest serving autograss car ever with over 20 seasons service! Must Say the new one looks impresive which is now driven by son Wayne As Phil and Pauline take to retirement.

1987:
